Hamburg was absolutely beautiful. It's a port town, so we arrived and went straight to look at the harbor. It was gorgeous. I didn't realize how much I missed being by a body of water, I guess I kind of take it for granted in Seattle. Friday night we went bar hopping in the Reeperbahn, which was a LOT of fun. These are the only pictures I have from that night:

The first thing we did was go to a Miniature Museum. It was cool, but kind of tourist trap-y. Here's a miniature music festival in "Sweden":
After the Miniature museum we (we being me and my CHID friend Janet) ate lunch and then went over to St. Nikolai cathedral. It used to be a church and cathedral, but it was bombed during WWII and so only the cathedral remains. You can take an elevator up to the top for a fantastic view of Hamburg, which we did.

All of the information inside of the cathedral on the bombings was VERY PC. None of it blamed the US or RAF (who were the ones who bombed St. Nikolai) but instead turned the blame to the Nazis/Hitler for triggering the events. It was all very interesting.
After St. Nikolai we went to the Beatles Museum, which was probably my favorite thing we did all weekend.

Cool painting at the exit of the museum

I really loved Hamburg. I'll definitely be going back.
